Bozena Rydlewska
Bozena Rydlewska or also known as Bozka, creates nature-themed 3D paper creations of nature compositions. Tired of working on the computer, Rydlewska eager to do something using her hands. She made some research and attended pop-up book course at West Dean College in England. After that she started her own pop up project.
“Since I remember, I had these botanical dreams of storytelling flowers, air floating plants or strange and mysterious botanical and zoological hybrids.”
“Upon awakening I was always surprised by the stillness of plants, an impossibility, compared to how alive they were in my dreams. Are the plants hiding from us, keeping still so we don’t learn their secrets? How can something so vividly alive in the dream be so still upon the return of the day? Or is it only still when we are not looking at it? I became a strange child, always trying to catch a sign of some floral movement out of the corner of my eye…Years later, many nature expeditions, books and documentaries later, I came to understand that my intuition was right.” said Bozka.
